Metrodome Roof Deflated Due To Snow!

December 12, 2010 by Nick in Uncategorized

It’s been reported this morning that the Metrodomes inflatable roof has collapsed due to snow.   Minnesota was hit with a snow storm so severe that many parts received 20+ inches of snow.  The storm was so bad that the Giants have been stranded in Missouri overnight.  The NFL late last night moved the game till Monday but with this latest update no certainty on when the game will be played.  Stay tuned!

UPDATE – Dome officals say that the Vikes-Giants game will not be able to be played on Monday or even Tuesday in the Metrodome.  This is due to structural damages the dome received due to the snow.  Gophers stadium is currently not an option due to the Giants not bringing outdoor equipment to Minnesota.

UPDATE 2 – The Vikings have announced that the game will be played at Ford Field Monday night.  Tickets will be free to all that want to attend.  Vikings fans will be given first priority and will receive 50 yard line seats if their willing to travel.  Full refunds will be received if original ticket holders choose not to travel.  More details at Vikings.com
