Ready For A Brett Favre Comeback? NFL.com Says Possibly!

Gil Brandt of NFL.com says that he believes Brett Favre could potentially make a return.

“I think Brett is still a good quarterback, but I’d consider him a descending quarterback. It’s awfully hard for him to go to a team and be a backup. The Vikings must start Christian Ponder this season to get him some experience. And they’re not going to get Favre in there to babysit Ponder.

That said, I do think Favre would be interested in talking to a team about returning. But I don’t see a team out there right now that would bring him back as a starter.”

In all reality Favre will stay retired this time.  He has admitted that he’s sick of being beet up and that his family is his top priority.  However, when Favre makes comments such as “I can still throw the ball as well as I ever have” it makes you wonder what ideas he has up his sleeve.
