Training Camp Injuries – Shiancoe & Harvin Leave Practice Early.

August 8, 2011 by Nick in Off Season Training

With the start of training camp starts the beginning of football injuries.  Some teams have already lost players for the season while others have players sitting out due to nagging injuries.  Fortunately, the Vikings are apart of that second group.  Visanthe Shiancoe left practice Monday and hasn’t returned.  Frazier commented “[W]e’ll have to monitor that and just see how he’s doing,” Frazier said, via quotes distributed by the team.

Percy Harvin was also sitting out of practice due to sore ribs.  Frazier also released a statement about Harvin. “[W]e’ll see how [Harvin] does tomorrow but I expect both of those guys back in a short time,” Frazier said.  “The hamstring is the one that you have to be very careful about.”

It’s early in the season so its not that big of a deal if both of the players sit out for a couple practices.  Let’s just continue to hope for a healthy team by the time the Vikings start their first ‘real’ game against the Chargers on Sept 11.
