Ben Leber Signs With Rams To One Year Deal

August 9, 2011 by Nick in FREE AGENTS

Rumor has is that the St Louis Rams are in the process of signing former Viking Ben Leber.  Some sources have confirmed that the deal has been reached and is  a one-year deal worth $1.25 million.

Some reports are still stating that the deal has not gone down yet but is likely going to soon.

For the ‘low’ price of 1.25 million the Vikings really should have been more aggressive in retaining Leber’s services.  Leber has been a good locker room leader and a solid veteran making up a good defense.  While im excited to see what the ‘other’ Henderson brother can do, it undoubtedly would of been a good idea to retain Leber.

I agree, Nick. Teams are getting a lot of players for bargain prices right now. The last I heard, the Vikes are under the salary cap by 1 or 2 million. You’d think that they could have gotten this deal done.
