Vikings Place Scott Kooistra On Injured Reserve After Neck Injury
The Vikings placed G/T Scott Kooistra on injured reserve this week with a neck injury ending his season. Coach Leslie Frazier called the injury “significant,” and Kooistra didn’t make the flight home from Seattle after Minnesota’s second preseason game. This significant injury is rumored to potentially end the career or Kooistra. It is believed that the injury accured in the the Seahawks game when Kooistra and Aaron Curry collided. Kooistra didn’t leave the field immediately after the play. Sources say that he continued to play another 2-3 plays before leaving the field.
Additional reports state that Kooistra has issue moving his head in full side to side motions after he left the field. This is not only serious for Kooistra but for a Vikings offensive line that is struggling. Hopefully Herrara will come back from him injury soon as we have a huge gap at the right guard position right now.
