Musgrave Blames Offensive Trouble On Himself. Vows To Fix It.

September 17, 2011 by Nick in COACHING

Vikings fans were irate with the loss last week against the Chargers.  It’s no secret that this game was stolen from us.  We had it in the bag.  To add salt to the wound the passing game only generated 39 total yards the ENTIRE GAME!  The biggest question this week going into the game against the Bucs is whether or not this team can turn its offensive woes around.

Ask Bill Musgrave and he will be the first one to say that the blame for last weeks offense starts with him.  “On Sunday, especially in the second half, we just didn’t get him in a rhythm,” Musgrave said, via Judd Zulgad of 1500ESPN.com.  “When I say we, I mean really it starts with me.  So we’ll look forward to getting him in a rhythm from here on out.”

With that said, expect the Vikings to come out fired up this weekend.  The Vikings are not going to lose their home opener to the Bucs this weekend.  Musgrave will definitely up the excitement on the offense while still being able to focus on the run game.   Last week the Vikings showed off their new “Blazer” package including Joe Webb.  It didn’t work too well so we’ll see if it gets phased out or altered a bit.  All I know for sure is that a lot of Vikings fans expect more from this team.  Starting with a win this Sunday against the Bucs and 100% effort from all the players throughout the season.  It’s only been one loss, not every team needs to be 16-0.  Remember, it doesn’t take 16 wins to get into the playoffs.  The playoffs being the Vikings first goal to obtain this season.  SKOL VIKES.

On a side note.  I found a neat site to share with you guys.  It’s called FROM THIS SEAT.COM.  This website offers fans the opportunity to leave comments about the exact seats they sat in for any sporting event.  Check out section 105 in the Metrodome to see my comments about my seats.   The concept of this site is great.  Seeing a seat chart is one thing but to read others reviews is completely different.
