Tyrell Johnson Busted For DWI / Drunk Driving

September 20, 2011 by Nick in PLAYER NEWS

Remember how I said I was just about over the Vikings loss this past weekend? I’m now more than irate to report that Safety Tyrell Johnson has been arrested for DWI charges as of Tuesday morning.   Johnson has been released on bail after officially being charged with fourth degree DWI charges.

This is extremely disappointing on many different levels.  Not only has the Vikings defense not been performing well (including a dropped INT by Johnson) but now we have to deal with drinking incidents? This is just getting ridiculous.   We all understand that “life happens” but cmon guys.  We’re trying to pick this team up and make a run at the playoffs here!

It’s times like these when I think of the immortal words of former Colts coach Jim Mora, who said: “Playoffs? You kidding me? Playoffs? I just hope we can win a game”
