Vikings To Add Chris Doleman To Ring Of Honor

September 28, 2011 by Nick in PLAYER NEWS, Vikings Support

NBC Sports own ProfootballTalk has announced that the Vikings plan to add Defensive end Chris Doleman to their Ring of Honor.  This event will be held during half time of the Vikings / Packers game October 23rd

Defensive end Chris Doleman, one of the dominant sackmasters of the late 1980s, becomes the 19th person to receive that distinction.  Doleman had 21 sacks in 1989.  For his career, Doleman racked up 150.5 sacks, fourth most in NFL history.

This is a great move on behalf of the Vikings organization.  Doleman was a defensive threat in the 80′s that teams had to game plan for.  It will be exciting to see this man get his recognition October 23rd.  SKOL VIKES!
