After the Game
Vikings Lose To Bears 10-39
This game was ugly. I can’t say it any other way then that. It’s games like this where you really wonder what the team did during the week. The offensive line once again completely buckled to a defense that is no longer ranked among the top 10 in the NFL. McNabb had an ‘OK’ game but really looked worse due to the offensive line.
Bernard Berrian once again dropped passes which doesn’t instill confidence in him. A lot of other catches were made right before the first down mark and the running game was completely dominated by constant 8-9 men in the box.
The Vikings looked bad. In fact they looked ugly. Not a lot went the right way this game. At 1-5 you have to wonder if Ponder will get the start against Green Bay. It’s not exactly a game you want to throw a rookie into first but it doesn’t seem like the Vikes have the fire to win games this season. It might be a good idea to let McNabb start one more game and then after the bye week start testing out the first round rookie. I hate to throw in the towel this early in the season but the Vikings are sure having trouble this year. That sad part is that outside of the Bears game the Vikings looked dominate at times. In fact they could have arguably been 4-1 going into this game at Chicago.
