Dayton Pledges To Pass New Vikings Stadium Bill!

November 3, 2011 by Nick in NEW STADIUM

After a rough couple of days in which multiple sources have reported that the Vikings stadium deal was all but dead a spark has risen.  Governor Mark Dayton and GOP lawmakers have now spoken up and pledge to pass a new Vikings stadium.

The likely source for the $300 million or so funds still needed in order to build that stadium will come from gaming.

No specifics are available at this time but its extremely encouraging to see some positive movement on this topic.  The Vikings only have 4 more games at the Metrodome before their lease officially expires.  The Vikings have made it more then clear that they will not extend the lease without a commitment to build a new stadium.
