Is Selling Vikings Stock A Viable Option To Build New Stadium?

November 8, 2011 by Nick in NEW STADIUM

The Pioneer Press had an interesting article released today reporting that Rep Phyllis Kahn will push for an acception to the NFL rule in selling “Vikings stock” to fund a new stadium.   Now this is an extreme long shot and even supporters of the concept are not holding their breath.  However, assuming that the state of Minnesota could convince the NFL to allow such an idea would it work?  I for one would be first in line to purchase Vikings stock.  What a great souvenir to hang in the man cave!  I have also been a proponent of Vikings license plates which never really seems to get any serious consideration either.

The bigger question here would be whether or not Zygi Wilf would be willing to sell a large stake of his team to the people of Minnesota.  As a business man one would have to wonder if Wilf has lost his mind by agreeing to do such.  Regardless – Vikings fans can keep dreaming.  All we know is that a Vikings stadium solution MUST be discovered soon.  Would you be in favor of purchasing stock in the Minnesota Vikings if the opportunity arose? Leave comments below why or why not!

I’m wondering if Vikings stock can be purchased and how to go about doing this? (not necessarily in the stadium but Vikings stock)
