Player Injury Reports

Adrian Peterson Won’t Play Against Falcons Sunday.

November 26, 2011 by Nick in Player Injury Reports

The only things worse then losing a close game is ultimately losing the game AND your star running back.  Adrian Peterson last week left the game against Oakland in the first quarter with what we now know is a high ankle sprain.  Despite Peterson saying he wanted to play Sunday we have now received word that Adrian Peterson did NOT travel with the team to face the Atlanta Falcons tomorrow at 12:00pm Central time.

With Adrian out of the game it is assumed that Toby Gerhert will receive the bulk of the carries with Percy Harvin and Lorenzo Booker giving him breathers throughout the game.  Many Vikings fans could argue that Adrian Peterson was the only bright spot on a team that is ultimately struggling this season.  It should be extremely interesting to see how Christian Ponder and the rest of the team plays Atlanta considering they have no run threat.
