Vikings Sent Final Payment To U of M For TCF Stadium Use.

December 13, 2011 by Nick in Metrodome

The Vikings have finally settled their debt with the UofM after the use of their outdoor stadium last year when the Metrodome collapsed. Reports state that the Vikings received several discounts from the school as a friendly gesture.

“Lester Bagley, the Vikings vice president for stadium development and public affairs, said the team had already sent in its final payment. The unpaid balance occurred, he said, because “accounting [and] financial matters needed to be resolved.” He said there was no dispute between the university and the Vikings over the bill.

The Vikings are currently sitting at the bottom of the NFC North at 2-11 and vigorously fighting an uphill battle with the state of Minnesota to get a new stadium built.  I for one am a proponent of a new stadium and to be honest at this point I don’t care where it’s built – as long as its built! SKOL VIKES!
