Vikings Lose Adrian Peterson To Torn ACL

December 25, 2011 by Nick in After the Game

Just when you thought the season couldn’t get much worse the Minnesota Vikings have announced today that Adrian Peterson as indeed torn his ACL.   Adrian Peterson arguably shouldn’t have been playing in a game that didn’t mean anything to the Vikings but reports say Peterson wanted to play to “support his fantasy owners“.

It has been reported that Peterson hasn’t sustained any further injury to other ligaments in his left knee and any issues will heal with time.  Peterson is expected to have surgery soon.  The big question is whether or not Peterson will be 100% before the beginning of the 2012 season.  If not, the Vikings could be in for another long season and top 5 draft pick. Merry Christmas Vikings fans.
