Good point Purple People Eater. You certainly can’t coach size or speed. Now that we have Jennings I’m not sure wideout is a dire need. The question marks are on Defense and still at QB. The Vikes did bring in Cassel which was a good move so I think they’ll focus on Defense in the draft.

Yes, they still need a deep threat at wide out. I hope they go for height and get Cordarrelle Patterson who is 6’2″ or Keenan Allen also 6’2″. Patterson is slightly quicker than Allen but Allen has a wider wingspan and bigger hands. You can’t coach size!

Do they really need to draft a wide-receiver in the first round? They have Jennings and Simpson and a few up-and-comers. I’d like to see them take a shot at another QB and possibly corner back or d-back. If they do go CB I hope they get height with 6’1″ Xavier Rhodes or 6’2″ Jonathan Banks.

This drives me nuts…..nobody expected this team to do anything and now they do and after a couple weeks we bail on the qb. Joe Webb is not the answer

I’m torn on this. Ponder got the team to where it is now so I feel like he should have the opportunity to see them through this rough patch. Webb is fun to watch but he’s not the future. They should sprinkle him in as needed but that would mean the play calling would be much more sophisticated but it’s not. Give Ponder a deep threat like Duane Bowe and bring Webb in to keep defenses guessing and bump up the play calling. Now you’ve got something!

I drafted RGIII in two of my leagues but didn’t start him because of the concussion issue he was dealing with plus I figured the Vikes D had been on fire lately and would tag him early to keep him from trying to go mobile. Well I forgot about the Vikes susceptibility to even the most minimally mobile QB’s and lost out on some huge fantasy football numbers! Why can’t the Vikes stop running prevent zone D and instead go man to man with spy or two on mobile QB’s. They just don’t get it!
